Printed Art vs. Digital Download: Which Is Right for You?

Every design in our catalog is available two ways: as a museum-quality print we make and ship to you, or as a digital download you print yourself. Neither is the "better" option — they just solve different problems.

Choose a printed art print if...

  • You want something ready to frame and hang, with consistent, tested print quality.
  • You'd rather not deal with finding a printer or color-matching yourself.
  • You're giving it as a gift and want it arriving as a finished piece.

Physical prints are made to order on museum-quality matte paper and typically arrive within 4–11 business days across the US.

Choose a digital download if...

  • You want it today — files are delivered instantly after checkout.
  • You're outside the US (we currently only ship physical prints domestically, but downloads are available worldwide).
  • You already have a favorite local print shop or large-format printer.
  • You want the flexibility to print multiple sizes from one file.

Each digital file is a high-resolution JPG (7200×10800px, 300 DPI) at a 2:3 aspect ratio, licensed for personal use — print it at home, at a local shop, or through an online printing service.

Not sure which?

If you want to see and feel the paper before committing to a size, or you're buying as a gift, go physical. If you want it now, or you're printing several sizes for a gallery wall, go digital. Both options are available on every product page — just look for the format toggle near the price.
